Therapy office Los Feliz 90027

I offer in-person session in my offices in Los Feliz and Highland Park.

I offer private-pay psychoanalytic psychotherapy in Los Feliz and Highland Park, serving adults, couples, and families across Northeast Los Angeles. The policies below are intended to clarify structure so that our work together can remain focused and consistent.

Fees

My rate for individual psychotherapy is $210. This covers a 50 minute session. For on-going couples and family work my rate is $225 for a standard session, which typically runs about 60 minutes, or $275 for a 90 minutes session. The evidence suggests that the longer session time can make an important difference, especially in the first few weeks of meeting. You can learn more about my approach to couples therapy here.

I do offer a limited number of sliding scale spots— feel free to inquire if you think you might be eligible. If I’m not able to accommodate a rate that is sustainable for you, I will put you in touch with other trusted therapists in my network who can.

Location & Telehealth Policy

I provide in-person psychotherapy in Los Feliz and Highland Park, welcoming clients from across Eastside Los Angeles. While my practice prioritizes in-person sessions, I am able to accommodate telehealth sessions when therapeutically appropriate. My experience is that prioritizing in person sessions can make a significant difference in the impact of treatment, allowing therapist and client to establish a deeper and more productive working relationship. This is particularly true in the early stages of our work.

Availability

I typically work 9a-5p on weekdays. I do not have evening availability. I do have some, limited weekend availability either remotely or at the Los Feliz office. Inquire for details.

Frequency

I typically meet with individual psychotherapy clients 1-2x per week. I am not able to accommodate clients looking to meet fewer than 1x per week. This style of deep, relational work just doesn’t have its promised effect without at least weekly sessions. That said, I understand that often requests to meet every other week, or monthly even, are more about finances than scheduling. If this is you, let’s talk. We can try to find a fee structure that would allow you to sustain weekly work, and if I’m not able to accommodate that fee, I will, again, provide you with some solid referrals.

Couples work I can occasionally offer bimonthly at the 90m session length— where deemed appropriate, and subject to scheduling constraints.

Missed Sessions

I ask that clients provide 24 hours notice on cancellations, and cap client cancellations at 5 times per calendar year (over and above holidays and any cancellations made by the therapist). I bill for sessions missed without sufficient notice, and for those over and above the five-per-year limit.
